Graduation Information
An annual commencement takes place each December & June in Dallas, TX. Students are advised to check the academic calendar to verify commencement dates and deadlines for the Graduation Application.
Students are responsible for fulfilling program requirements as set forth in the student catalog at the time of matriculation for that degree. The Graduation Application is available on the website. Even if students do not plan to participate in the commencement, it is imperative that they officially declare their intentions to graduate by completing the Application Graduation on or before the deadline. A Graduation Application must be on file in order to list students as “graduates” on their academic record. Below is a list of Graduation Requirements.
After we receive RSVPs, we’ll announce ceremony times the week of September 15 & March 22. This is when you’ll find out what day your commencement will be and how to get your guest tickets. Until then, here’s some things you can do to get ready:
- Make plans to participate in Grad Finale November 15th & March 22 at the Texas Seminary Christian University Bookstore to receive your graduation regalia package at a discounted rate.
- Upload a professional photo of you in graduation regalia or business attire to Marching Order by November 20 or April 26.

Diploma/Graduate Fee
A non-refundable fee per degree sought is assessed the semester/term a student applies for graduation. This fee is payable each time a student applies for graduation. A late fee of $50.00, in addition to the diploma/graduation fee, may be charged to those who apply for graduation after the published deadline.

Texas Seminary Christian University Diplomas
When will I get my Diploma?
- Diplomas are processed within 2-4 weeks of degree conferral. After processing, diplomas are delivered within 1-2 weeks. This means a diploma will be delivered within 3-6 weeks from the date of conferral.
- Diplomas are mailed to the address indicated on the degree completion application. If your address changes after submitting your degree completion application, please email info@texasuniversity.org with your updated address.
- Diplomas cannot be sent while there are outstanding financial obligations to the university. If a student does have an outstanding balance, they must rectify it before their diploma will be sent. Once rectified, the student must contact info@texasunivesrity.org for the diploma to be sent.

What will my Diploma say ?
- All diplomas will have the student’s name, degree (Associate, Bachelor, Master or Doctoral), major, and date. Minors do not appear on the diploma.
- All Undergraduate and Graduate students will have the words "Texas Seminary Christian University” written on the diploma.
- Reissued diplomas and certificates carry signatures of the current officeholders (e.g., Provost and President)

Tuition and Fees Paid in Full
Graduation Application and Fees
All program requirements (unless otherwise determined by the Academic Affairs Committee), including GPA, specific courses for the major or concentration, and the number of program hours taken at the institution must be met. Christian character and doctrinal integrity as reflected in the Biblical Code of Conduct and the Doctrinal Statement should be evident
Outstanding tuition and fees must be paid in full at least 45 days prior to the graduation date.
The Graduation Application and graduation fee must be submitted by the deadline posted on the Academic Calendar. A $250.00 fee is required of all first-time Texas Seminary Christian University graduates even if they do not attend the commencement ceremony. The fee for each subsequent graduation/degree is $100.00 - $1000.00
Graduation Survey
Before graduation, all graduates must complete the Graduation Survey. This survey is part of the Graduation Application.
Graduation with Honors (undergraduate only)
Graduation with honors is conferred upon those students who achieve the following cumulative grade point average based on work done at the undergraduate level:
- Summa cum laude 3.90 – 4.00
- Magna cum laude 3.70 – 3.89
- Cum laude 3.50 – 3.69

Graduation Application
Submitting a graduation application is not the same as confirming your participation in the annual graduation ceremony.
Graduation Application deadlines are the last day of each semester. Winter Term is included in the Spring semester and May Term is included in the Summer semester. Summer graduates have until the last day of the Summer II semester to apply.
